Everlasting
Everlasting takes a difficult to define concept and turns it into a beautiful display of colors in one piece of music. This concept has been written, sung, and talked about for millennia, but there is always some amount of dissension between the various depictions. The idea of this feeling is so personal that everyone will have their own way of showing and interpreting it. This concept, of course, is love.
In August of 2020, I welcomed a new friend into my life. Neapolitan was one and a half years old, wore a tuxedo, and literally cried whenever I wasn’t holding her. This fuzzy being, no more than 10 pounds, leapt into my arms and snuggled her way into my heart. This cat showed me what true love feels like.
Dedicated to my newest furry friend, Neapolitan “Neah” Youmans, Everlasting will take the listener on a journey through the experience of loving a pet. While many moments will bring joy and comfort, there will also be some moments of contemplation and concern. Either way, by the end of this nearly six-minute journey, you will truly feel everlasting love.
