Beyond Tomorrow
One can never truly know the path which they have chosen. The path of light? Of dark? Of good or of evil? One thing is for certain: that path will come to end. For the moment, be aware of this life you lead, and know that your worries are simply beyond tomorrow.
Written for saxophone quartet, Beyond Tomorrow is based on “The Worlds of Tomorrow”, a heavily story-driven TTRPG campaign in which I have had the honor and privilege of participating. The story follows the Deacons of the Star on their quest to restore the balance and hone their craft as they traverse an ever-expanding world. This work is written in two movements, but done in such a way that the movements can be played in either order. Each movement features a motif which then gets altered in the other, creating a balance which would have the Deacons in envy.
This work is dedicated the my friends, the Deacons of the Star, and the stories which have yet to unfold.
